Tip number 3 to fix a slow computer would be to defragment your hard drive.
Microsoft includes this utility in Windows. What does this do for you?
Short answer: It speeds up your slow computer.
Long answer:
Well, when files are written to the hard drive they are not always written
in sequential order. They get written in pieces scattered all over the drive.
When Windows needs the file it has to spend time putting all the pieces together.
Doing a defrag of the hard drive puts all the pieces together and re-writes them to the
drive in one piece making it easier and faster to read. Thus speeding up your computer!
