5. Registry Cleaners
I think one of the most important things you can do for
your slow computer is to NOT clean the registry. Windows stores
just about everything it needs for info in the registry. It
is a grouping all the things it needs to run and load programs
as well as itself. You don’t really want to mess with this on your
own. You could render your system useless. I am very serious
on that point. You also don’t want to trust your registry cleanup
to some free software you stole off the internet somewhere.
I have several software programs that have worked very well for me
over the years. I will update this post in a day or so with a link to
several that I use and feel are semi-safe to use. In most cases this is not
needed and CAN be Harmful! Very little bang for the buck.
