Be careful when updating programs
It seems there is a new update 2-3 times a day for programs on my computer. I don’t usually update the day it is ready to install. I usually wait a day for any problems to be found and fixed brfore I try to update. This gives the company 24 hrs of people running the update and sometimes crashing and failing and generally making a mess of the poor guys computer. If you are one of the one who waits, you can avoid some of this hassle. Do NOT use this as an excuse to avoid ever installing updates though. Wait 24-48 hrs and then do it!
Rules for updates.
1. Create a Windows Restore Point
2. Turn off any anti-virus, anti-spyware, and security suit programs. Close any open programs too
3. Always update windows before running any program updates. And restart the system
4. wait 24-48 hours before installing to program updates (do step 2. after restarting following windows updates)
If you have any problems, use the Restore to roll back to your last good restore point created in step 1.
